Issaquah Alps Trail Cam Project:
Capture the Wild

Explore the Wildlife of the Issaquah Alps

We’re thrilled to announce an exciting new initiative to explore the incredible wildlife of the Issaquah Alps! In partnership with the City of Issaquah, we’re setting up trail cameras to capture amazing footage of the diverse animals that call this area home. With the help of our IATC community, we’ll gather vital data to educate the public about responsible recreation and advocate for the preservation of these wild lands.

And let’s be honest—who doesn’t want to see bear cubs in action?

Check out our videos to learn more about the project and the incredible wildlife we'll capture!

How You Can Get Involved

  • Already Have a Trail Cam?

If you live near the Issaquah Alps and have a trail cam, we’d love to include your footage! By contributing your existing camera sites, you’ll help expand our wildlife monitoring efforts and contribute to our conservation goals.

  • We Need Cameras!

Each camera setup costs about $150–200, which covers the camera, lock, batteries, and memory cards. By sponsoring a camera, you’ll help us capture more wildlife footage and increase our data collection capacity. Every contribution counts, and every camera makes a difference!

  • Volunteer Help Needed!

We need volunteers to set up and maintain our camera sites! Tasks include swapping out memory cards, changing batteries, and uploading footage. It’s a great way to get outdoors and be part of this fun project. Volunteers will be expected to make approximately six trips a year, and sites will be in safe, non-remote locations.

  • Got Tech Skills?

Once the cameras capture footage, we need help managing and editing the data. If you have video editing skills, your expertise will help turn raw footage into engaging content for social media and advocacy. Your work will amplify our conservation message!
