Donate Your Time

There are multiple ways you can volunteer with IATC. Fill out the form below to let us know how you’d like to get involved (scroll down for description of our programs). In all cases you will be helping to conserve, educate, and advocate for the Issaquah Alps, while helping others get more connected to the land.

Restoration EVENTS

We partner with various agencies, such as the City of Issaquah, Washington State Parks, and King County Parks, to improve the health of habitats throughout the Issaquah Alps by organizing work parties that require onsite help. Let us know if you want to join in on the fun!

Hike Leader

“Hikes with a Purpose” is our guided hiking program. In addition to having a great outdoor experience, hikers learn a little more about the Issaquah Alps from our experienced hike leaders, and why we are working so hard to advocate for them. If you have a special interest and knowledge in areas like native and invasive plant identification, geology, ecology, local history, or others, and enjoy sharing your passion with others, then you are invited to become an IATC hike leader.

Advocacy Committee

Advocacy is at the heart of what we do at IATC. Our passion for the land and trails, with equal access for all, and knowledge that the proper resources are needed to grow and maintain what’s already here, drives us to be more than trail users. The IATC Advocacy Committee leads our efforts in this area. In addition to a passion for our advocacy work, if you have special knowledge or experience in areas such as land use, conservation, wildlife habitat, outdoor recreation, non-profits, or the legal profession, then we would like to hear from you! Visit our Advocacy page for more information about IATC advocacy.

Special Events

Several times a year, the IATC hosts special events like our Annual Forum for Public Lands. See our calendar for upcoming special events and let us know if you’d like to help with planning and executing these events.

Internal Opportunities

The IATC is run almost entirely by volunteer power. We have six different committees that work together to run the organization day to day, provide expertise on special projects, write articles, and help out with events. If you have a skill set you think would be valuable to the club please let us know.

If you would like to learn more about any of these volunteer opportunities, please fill out the form above. Thank you!
