Work will consist of helping Squak Mountain State Park staff clear debris from trails badly damaged from the bomb cyclone. We’ll be hiking up to work on Old Griz and Phil’s Creek Trail, working in conjunction with arborists and saw teams to make these trails accessible to the public.
Please come prepared for a hike up to the work area. Volunteers should also bring a bagged lunch.
After meeting at the May Valley Loop Trailhead, our group takes a limited-access forest service road. Volunteers with 4WD/AWD vehicles that don’t mind carpooling with fellow participants should reach out to Terry directly in advance of the work party to help coordinate logistics.
