Join IATC’s board member, Selena Eon, for a plant identification hike along the east side of Squak Mountain. This early spring hike will involve several connector trails for 6 miles with a gain of 2000 ft., so please be prepared for a little climb to see some wonderful blooms.
A handout of expected plants will be provided for learning; but feel free to bring along your own plant identification guide.
Trailhead: Squak Mountain Access Trail @ Sunrise Place (there is street parking at this trailhead)
Trails: Sunrise Place, East Ridge, Eastside Loop, Old Griz and Phil's Creek Connector; return via East Ridge/Sunrise Place.
Distance: 6 miles
Duration: 5 hours
Elevation Gain: 2000 ft.
