This family-friendly hike in Bellevue’s Coal Creek Natural Area is a gravelly loop with some ups and downs and interpretive signs about the history of coal mining in the area. Ideal for ages 3 and up, with a backpack carrier available if needed for those of any age.

Meet in the lot of the Red Town Trailhead where the parking is free. We will cross Lakemont Blvd. to access the Coal Creek Natural Area.

Mileage: 1/2 mile
Elevation: Some ups and downs.
Approx Time: 1 1/2 hrs.
