The lack of any formal crossings leaves hikers and trail runners on their own if they want to link up trails across SR-900. Join this exploration party—sometimes on trails, sometimes off—to scout possible connections between northeast Cougar and northwest Squak Mtns.

Starting at the NW corner of SR-900 and Newport Way NW, the first three hours will be exploration of trails and connections on NE Cougar Mtn. The second half will be two hours exploring connection possibilities on NW Squak Mtn. We will relocate for the Squak Mtn. exploration depending on group size to meet parking needs.
