New Years Eve a year ago offered a stunning sunset from Debbie's View on Squak Mtn. and was a wonderful way to wrap up the year.  If it happened before it can happen again!  Let’s go find out.  Sunset is just before 4:30 PM, so we will set off by 3:00 PM sharp.

We will take the recently re-routed Chybinski Trail and make a loop on our return. Along the way we’ll talk about the land conservation and trails projects that IATC is advocating for and discuss how you can get involved. This hike will be a good workout for some, but fun and--weather permitting--a great view!.

A headlamp or flashlight for hiking out is required. Trekking poles and micro-spikes highly, highly recommended if there is snow on the ground!

Trailhead: Bullitt Fireplace Trailhead
This trailhead is at the hairpin in the road and a couple of hundred yards before and downhill from where the pin is on the map. It’s hard to miss.
Distance: 5.5 miles
Ascent: ~1,300 feet
Time: 3 hours.
