Part-Time Program & Volunteer Coordinator

This contracted role will empower you to play a vital part in organizing, promoting, and supporting IATC’s diverse programs, such as guided hikes, restoration events, and community programs.

Key Responsibilities

Program Coordination:

  • Collaborate with Key Stakeholders: Work alongside the IATC Board, Executive Director, volunteer leaders, and partner organizations to plan, schedule, and execute diverse programs.

  • Program Promotion & Engagement: Partner with the Executive Director and Communications Team to create and deliver engaging online media communications that boost program participation and awareness.

  • Event Registration & Logistics: Set up and manage program registrations in the IATC CRM system, ensuring clear communication, smooth logistics, and accurate participant details.

  • Support Event Participants & Volunteers: Ensure all attendees and volunteers have what they need for a successful experience, providing guidance before, during, and after events.

  • Capture and Analyze Feedback: Collect and review post-event feedback to enhance the participant experience and continuously improve IATC programs.

Volunteer Management:

  • Recruit and Cultivate Volunteers: Attract and engage passionate individuals to become part of our volunteer team, creating a community of dedicated supporters.

  • Track and Report Volunteer Hours: Ensure volunteer contributions are recognized and reported accurately.

  • Celebrate Volunteers: Develop and implement appreciation programs to recognize and reward volunteers for their hard work and dedication.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is organized, approachable, and excited to work in a collaborative, conservation-focused environment. The ideal candidate will bring:

  • A love for the outdoors and an enthusiasm for sharing these experiences with others.

  • Experience in program coordination, volunteer management, or similar roles (non-profit experience is a plus!).

  • Exceptional communication skills—whether in person, over the phone, or online, you can engage with people effectively and professionally.

  • Tech-savviness with experience in CRM systems, social media management, and general event coordination tools.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • A commitment to excellence and the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards.

  • Pass a Washington State Patrol background check for working with volunteers and participants.

  • Must be a resident of King County, with a preference for individuals residing in areas surrounding the Issaquah Alps.

Job Details

  • Location: Flexible, with the ability to work remotely, but you’ll need to be on-site for some events held in various outdoor locations around the Issaquah Alps (including parks, trailheads, and public spaces).

  • Schedule: Flexible hours (15 hours per week on average), with some weekday and weekend availability required based on event schedules.

  • Compensation: Competitive, starting at $28–30/hr, based on experience.

  • Availability: Immediate start. Position open until filled.
