BRING/WEAR: water, food, daypack, rain-gear, warm clothes, hiking shoes
No dogs (UNLESS the hike is specified as 'dogs welcome')
IATC ENCOURAGES CARPOOLING AND
RECOMMENDS $.20/MILE GAS, MINIMUM OF $1.00, CONTRIBUTION TO THE DRIVER

Hike Classifications

* Each hike has a number and letter designation. Numbers indicate hiking time and letters indicate degree of difficulty.

Hiking Time

Class 1: 2 hours
Class 2: 4 hours
Class 3: 6 hours
Class 4: 8 hours

These are approximate hiking times and do not include travel time to and from the trailhead.

Degree of Difficulty

A: Little or no elevation gain, up to 500 feet, no difficulties for average walker.

B: Some climbing, up to 1,200 feet, or some other difficulty.

C: More climbing, up to 2,500 feet, or some other difficulty.

D: Much climbing, over 2,500 feet of elevation gain.

This is an estimated degree of difficulty.
