Snoqualmie Corridor Recreation Planning
In December the citizen group agreed on a conceptional plan for recreational opportunity improvements in the 53,000 acres of Washington State Department of Natural Resources land along I-90.
The plan is now being worked on by DNR staff and will again be reviewed by the citizen committee before it goes through final review by the DNR. The citizen groups plans to review the latest rendition of the plan on Tuesday May 21st or Thursday May 23rd. Details will be provided as soon as the meeting plans are finalized.
The study covers all of the areas below. You have likely noticed that we have been leading lots of hikes over the last year in these areas to help our members and others become familiar with the many DNR lands in and adjoining the Issaquah Alps.
· Raging River State Forest
· Middle Fork Snoqualmie Natural Resources Conservation Area (NRCA)
· West Tiger Mountain NRCA
· Tiger Mountain State Forest
· Rattlesnake Mountain Scenic Area
· Mount Si NRCA
· rural forest lands near the community of Preston
